Written by admin on August 27, 2007 – 11:08 am -There was a case where someone’s elderly father let the police in (their usual “just looking around” without a warrant), and since there was no lock on the PC case, they opened it up, and read the data stright off the hard drive without booting up the machine … in separate specialized hardware other than the flash (perhaps the same hardware that does the encryption/decryption) and that this hardware takes care of erasing the AES key after 10 failed unlocking attempts? ..
